License Renewal New Deadline, Policy & Guideline Updates

The Board has updated and approved several policies and procedures to align with the NSRoP requirements and recent legislative changes. As a registrant, it's important to review these updates to remain informed and up to date. Specifically, the Regulatory Processes and Administrative policies have changed substantially.

Last Spring there were several, NSRoP hosted, Registrant education sessions about the new legislative changes including: updates to the competency framework for every category of licensure, Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice.

 

Current changes to License Renewal, effective May 12, 2025 are below:

Nova Scotia Regulator of Paramedicine license renewal is open February 1 annually. Renewal applications are due on or before February 28 (or 29 in a leap year) annually. Late fees apply March 1.

 

Late Fees

Registrants who fail to pay by the deadline (February 28 (or 29 in a leap year) will incur a late renewal fee of fifty percent (50%) of the annual licence renewal fee. Late fees are applied at the rate of fifty percent (50%) of the late fee on the first day after the deadline payable on March 1. There is an additional twenty-five percent (25%) fee every seven days thereafter until the total fee reaches fifty percent (50%).

Registrants who do not renew by March 31 annually must pay the annual licence renewal fee in addition to an expired licence fee equivalent to fifty percent (50%) of the annual licence renewal fee. For more information click here.
